Beware of using smartphone App for Banking and others

A software deveploper named Trevor Eckhart  has found and hidden application in smartphone which records each and evey action that is happening in the phone .Eckhart has uploaded an 17-minute video on YouTube that shows the same. The app which he shows is called as HTC IQ Agent on the EVO 3D and most important is it’s impossible to stop the application from running in the app settings on HTC Android devices. Each functions that you are doing ,sending sms,or dialing phone number etc are recorded in this .The developer has been in a legal battle with Carrier IQ for some time now. Eckhart started making waves across the privacy community earlier this month after he dug into software developed by Carrier IQ .

Carrier IQ took offense to Eckhart's claim, saying that its software is a "diagnostic tool" for companies to "improve the quality of the network, understand device issues, and ultimately improve the user experience." . Carrier IQ also took the opportunity to clarify what its software doesn't do, including record keystrokes, provide tracking tools, or inspect "the content of e-mails and SMSs." The company also argued that its software does not "provide real-time data reporting to any customer." Although Eckhart's data comes from Android devices, it's worth noting that Carrier IQ's software is running on over 130 million mobile devices worldwide, including those made by Nokia and Research In Motion.

"The Carrier IQ application is embedded so deeply in the device that it can't be fully removed without rebuilding the phone from source code."

HP back to tablet buiness: HP Slate 2

HP team realised that it was a bad suggestion to quit from the PC business, so last week they decided to come back in the table world. So what is the new thing about. Yes a tablet. So what are the new feature of it.
Is it an Android based ? No its not , its a Windows 7-based Slate 2.
8.9-inch capacitive multi-touch screen,
Intel Atom Z670 CPU,
32 GB of momory,
3-megapixel back camera,

A front-facing VGA camera for video chats and calls.Yes it has HP’s Swype technology for easier text entry.
So what I feel that , they have to think twice about the OS as Windows 7 was never a great OS for tablets and they too accepted that . So hope they may target for Windows 8 for tablet release, which is expected for next year release.
What is the price of this ? HP Slate 2 starts at $699 and is expected to be available later this month. Are they assuming that they can stay with Apple iPad or Samsungs Tab family ?

iPhone 4S Battery issue resolved.

Many of the iPhone users are facing issue with there battery as its not staying longer after the installation of iOS5.Apple got a couple of complaints from majority of its users. So here is the issue , iPhone has the capability of updating the time automatically by checking the zone. iOS 5 that keeps the phone pinging various location servers to update the time zone. For the it constant pinging and that drains the battery. The best way to make that is the OFF that setting,  turning off the “Setting Time Zone”. So that issue is resolved.

Go inside a shop online with Google maps.

You want to know, how your evening party halls looks like? Now you can do that from your home it self. Now Google maps allows  you to have a glimpses of whats there in a shop or a restaurant. This test program was started last year . There will be a bunch of panoramic images which the customers have a real feeling of inside or shop or restaurant or a party hall. The 360 degree views are really superb. I really wonder , why cant they try with a 3D. As of now , they allow only the Googles  Street View photographers to have the pictures. So they are in demand. Small businesses in several countries like Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States started inviting the team of Google Street View photographers ( they use  fish-eye and wide-angle lenses)  to have the Small businesses involved in this. If small business owners are really using this , then they can increase there online business more that 30%, or any one can have a shop inside there home , and make the consumers feel that this is better than the other. Google has promised it will blur out or refuse to publish any images that include bystanders. The photo shoots produce 360-degree images using fish-eye and wide-angle lenses as well as stills. Business owners still can to upload their own pictures.
