US, 30 percent of employers stop offering health insurance

McKinsey, on a survey with approximate 1300 employers of different sizes industry mentioned that at least 30 percent of employers are likely to stop offering health insurance once provisions of the U.S. health care reform law kick in in 2014. 

In 2014 new medical insurance exchanges are supposed to be up and running by U.S. health care.

As soon as Apple's CEO Steve Jobs strolled on stage, there was a shout by audience "We love you."  "Thank you. It always helps and I appreciate it very much," Jobs said.

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference has 5,200 attendees, Jobs said. "Today it is all about software," he said.
"If the hardware is the brain and sinew of our products, the software in them are its soul," Jobs said. "Today we are going to talk about software."

UL CyberPark ready for occupation, by October 2011

In the initial phase UL CyberPark aims to construct 5,00,000 Square Feet in the Processing zone. The first Building is aimed at companies who do 100% percent export and the latter is aimed at accommodating existing STPI/newly incorporated IT companies.

The facility will have limited extent of fully furnished modules (Quickspace) which will be released on a first come – first served basis.

The 5 Lakh Square feet building is planned to be a LEED Gold Standard Green Building.

French IT services company Capgemini will hire up to 8,000 in India

Off-campus hiring refers to the incremental fresher hirings done by IT companies when their need for entry level graduates exceeds the numbers they have picked up during campus recruitment drives. In such cases, IT companies conduct walk-in-interviews of fresh engineers who have not been picked up by any company during on-campus drives.
“Even the off-campus route can throw up high quality candidates if you are careful with the selection procedure. Having said that, if you select one out of four during campus drives, now you may do only one out of 10,” said Ms Jayanthi.
